We reinvented the satellite to get you better answers at a better price.

Wyvern's Satellite Solution

We are building hyperspectral satellites that will enable you to answer meaningful questions. By utilizing proprietary unfolding camera technology, our satellite will be 10X smaller while providing the same spatial resolution.

This means our satellites will get you better data for a better price, helping you to make informed decisions faster and with more confidence. Save time, save money, and reduce risk.

Our Story

After working on AlbertaSat's first cube satellite Ex-Alta 1, co-founders Chris, Kristen, and Callie were hard-set on bringing the space industry to Alberta.

After finding the missing piece in Kurtis, we founded Wyvern with a big idea: what if we could find a way to increase the aperture size of an imaging satellite on-orbit? How would this impact business in Canada and abroad?

The answer: in a big way.

Technology

Wyvern’s DragonEye payload will provide higher-resolution imaging than would typically be possible from a cube satellite. With DragonEye, we can achieve significant improvements to spatial resolution, the number of spectral bands, and signal to noise ratio without increasing the satellite's size.

Combining DragonEye with a hyperspectral imager and launching a constellation of satellites allows us to deliver the exact data businesses need for actionable insights.

Our Vision

Wyvern envisions a future where Earth observation satellite intelligence is so integrated into workflows and decision making that the user won't even know the satellites are there. In this future, a constellation of hyperspectral satellites orbits Earth, each flying DragonEye.

Each satellite can perform on-board image processing and analytics, such that useful information is streamed directly to a user's device.
